Congratulations to our first incentive winner of 2016, Christine Flowers of NAMI Gloucester County for winning the Let’s get the ball rolling
Challenge!
Christine won the Challenge by signing up as a Team Captain and registering three Walkers on her team by February 20th. Make sure to enter our Aquarium challenge by March 15 – details below.

Here’s why Christine is walking:
“I am walking for my family and friends, including those I have met through my support group, who suffer from mental illness. My affiliate, NAMI Gloucester County is walking to raise funds for our county group, which offers some of the best programs in the state! We are so lucky to have such support through NAMI, NAMI NJ and our Intensive Family Support Services?”

Please support Christine, the NAMI Gloucester County team, and the many walkers who each have their own story to tell. You can start a team, join a team as a walker, donate or become a sponsor to support the Walk at www.namiwalks.org/newjersey.

Football teams across South New Jersey are going to Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer® for their Thanksgiving Football games.  Funds raised by these teams will help support Go4theGoal’s programs that benefit local children and families battling pediatric cancers.

“Thanksgiving is the perfect time for us to give thanks for all the healthy children in our lives and to keep in our thoughts all those who are battling cancer and other illnesses,” states Beth Stefanacci, Founding Director of Go4theGoal.  “We started the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer® campaign because of the outcry from athletes that wanted a way to kids in their communities with cancer.  We are grateful to have such a strong show of support from local coaches and players at this time of year.”

The following teams will be Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer® during their Thanksgiving Football games:

  • Deptford High School
  • Schalick High School
  • Cumberland Regional High School
  • Lindenwold High School
  • Haddonfield Memorial High School
  • Haddon Heights High School
  • Cherokee High School
  • Seneca High School

Many of these teams have a personal connection to pediatric cancer, having had classmates and even teammates either battling cancer now or in the recent past.

About Go4theGoal Foundation

Go4theGoal Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Dr. Richard and Beth Stefanacci, soon after their oldest child was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.  In 2011 Go4theGoal launched 2 national campaigns, National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day and Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer.  These campaigns give schools, businesses, and sports teams an opportunity to raise awareness and much needed support for kids battling cancer.  Go4theGoal provides children undergoing cancer treatment and their families with financial assistance, funds hospital-based programs, grants special wishes, and since 2007, has funded over $1,000,000.00 in research.  For the past 3 consecutive years Go4theGoal has earned the honor of “Top Rated Non-Profit” by Great Nonprofits.  Go4theGoal.org
