FRESH AIR HOST FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN OCEAN COUNTY CELEBRATED HOST SISTER SAMANTHA’S 9TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

The Fresh Air Fund’s Ocean County host family, Kelly Hennessy and Matthew Matey’s family, held a summer birthday party for their daughter, Samantha, while their Fresh Air child, Journee, was visiting. The invite was extended to all local host families and Fresh Air children and the birthday party took place at their home in Manahawkin on Saturday, July 15th. Samantha asked for monetary donations for The Fresh Air Fund instead of gifts, and she raised $450 for The Fund! Fresh Air children and their host families enjoyed the Party Crasher Gaming Truck, inflatable play houses, entertainment, and of course birthday cake! This summer, thousands of children will enjoy a summer outside of the city with volunteer host families in suburban, rural and small town communities along the East Coast and Southern Canada through The Fresh Air Fund’s Friendly Towns Program.
