Bluegrass ‘n’ Berries Coming June 7th at 3 PM
The annual strawberry festival at Christ Lutheran Church has a new name this year. Called “Bluegrass ‘n’ Berries”, it features the Piney Hollow Drifters, an acclaimed bluegrass band, as entertainment. Since their top-tapping music makes you want to get up and move with the beat, you’re invited to do just that on the dance floor that’s ready for your fancy footwork.
Also new this year are the door prizes donated by talented congregation members. After the Drifters play their final notes, emcee Cliff Korradi, whose signature is fun-loving commentary, will preside over the drawing for the prizes. All you need to enter the drawing is your ticket stub.
Of course, one thing hasn’t changed, and that’s the strawberry dessert which concludes this gala afternoon. The terrific kitchen crew knows how to put all the ingredients together for a wonderful and delicious finale.
A ticket costs $8 for an adult or $5 for a child under twelve. You can purchase tickets between Sunday worship services during May and from Karin Holldorf, secretary, in the church office during the week. The phone number of the church office is (732) 350-0090. The church is located at 40 Schoolhouse Rd. in Whiting.
