Walkers and runners from throughout the Metropolitan Area are stepping out on October 29th to support kids and adults with epilepsy at the 2016 Glow Walk Run at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The event will include a Family Fun Walk, a 5K USATF sanctioned run, music, information vendors, food trucks, and a costume catwalk contest. It benefits the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey.

“Glow Walk Run is a great way to celebrate Halloween while benefiting services and supports for people with epilepsy and their families in New Jersey,” said Andrea Racioppi, Associate Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey. “This event is all about family fun and raising awareness about epilepsy with the beautiful back-drop of lower Manhattan. There’s something for everyone,” Racioppi concluded.

The Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey sponsors a medication assistance fund, overnight summer camp, school-based education programs, school nurse trainings, a scholarship program, information and referral line, and community education. Sponsors include Eisai, Supernus, Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery at St. Barnabas, Lundbeck, Sunovion, and Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group.
