On Saturday April 29, 2017, Jenkinson’s Aquarium and MATES Project Terrapin will host Turtle Appreciation Day. Learn what you can do to support turtle conservation!

Hours are 11:00 am to 3:30 pm

There will be family turtle talks scheduled where you can learn about a variety of turtles including our very own northern diamondback terrapins.  There will be interactive educational displays, crafts, and story time with the adventures of Izzy the Terrapin for the kids. Also, we will feature a story book “If Barnegat Bay Could Speak”.   Come meet SCUTES, the MATES Terrapin mascot, who will be making appearances throughout those hours. Come and have a “turtle awesome” time!

All activities are free with general admission.
