In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Go4theGoal is thrilled to announce that renovations of the teen lounge at the Reuten Clinic for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Hackensack University Medical Center has been completed and will officially be opened the week of September 14th.
“Kids spend a lot of time at the hospital when they are being treated for cancer and it is important for us to provide them with a positive and relaxed environment to make that time as least stressful as possible,” said Gina Buffa, Go4theGoal Board Member. “Teens being treated for cancer are often surrounded by toys better suited for younger children and watching television that is appropriate for toddlersWe are excited to build a teen room for this population that is suited specifically for their needs.”
