Pacers Running Hosts 21st Annual Novo Nordisk New Jersey Marathon & Half Marathon Presented by LifeTime on April 30th

Pacers Running is proud to host this year’s Novo Nordisk New Jersey Marathon & Half Marathon presented by LifeTime Fitness on Sunday, April 30th. Beginning at 7:30am, both races will start in Oceanport’s Monmouth Park and finish on the Long Branch Ocean Promenade. This years race is generously supported by Novo Nordisk and LifeTime Fitness.

Runners will follow the course through the diverse neighborhoods and business districts of Oceanport, Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, Deal, Allenhurst, Loch Arbour, Asbury Park and Ocean Grove. This scenic, fast and flat course has been very popular with both runners and spectators alike. It is a point-to-point course that has proven to be a good choice for those attempting to qualify for the B.A.A. Boston Marathon, as so many have done with us in the past.

“Pacers Running is privileged to host The Novo Nordisk New Jersey Marathon & Half Marathon,” said Pacers CEO Kathy Dalby. “This race is meaningful to us because of the great heritage of the event. We want runners, charity groups, and volunteers to know that we are working to ensure everyone has an enjoyable, safe, and memorable race, and we look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.”

Race Director Hilary Biggs added, “The Jersey Shore is a place to make memories, and we are proud to provide an environment that not only offers athletes a course to strive for their personal bests, but for the whole family to establish a tradition that they can relive each year. Our collective commitment to a fun and successful race, combined with its distinctly New Jersey flair makes the New Jersey marathon a destination race. We are fortunate to have a generous partner in Novo Nordisk that shares our values and we are all looking forward to an exciting race weekend.”

The Marathon boasts a full three days celebrating health and fitness.  The Health and Fitness Expo on Friday and Saturday includes race packet pick up and will host over 20 diverse exhibitors, charity partners, and our official race merchandise.  In addition to the main events on Sunday, including the marathon, half marathon, and half marathon relay, the weekend highlights the RWJBarnabas Health Kids and Family Festival, 5K and Kids Races on Saturday.

“We’re a healthcare company that thinks staying active is the key for anyone who wants to enjoy healthy living whether you’re at work or at home,” said Diana Blankman, Senior Director, U.S. Corporate Giving and Social Impact, Novo Nordisk. “That’s why we’re so pleased to be sponsoring events like the Novo Nordisk NJ Marathon.  It’s wonderful to be a part of this experience.”

“We are proud to support the 21st Annual Novo Nordisk NJ Marathon and Half Marathon,” said Bill Arnold, President and Chief Executive Officer for Monmouth Medical Center.  “At RWJBarnabas Health, we believe that life is better healthy.  This partnership gives us an excellent opportunity to reach the diverse members of the communities we serve to emphasize the importance of prevention and wellness in a fun and inviting community setting.”
