Pine Shores Art Association annual Art Harvest Show hosts a free open house reception for participating artists and the public on Sunday, November 5 from 1 – 4 pm in their gallery at 94 Stafford Avenue in Manahawkin. The show will remain hanging throughout the month of November and be open to the public on Sundays from 1-3 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am-2:30 pm.
All Pine Shores’ members are invited to enter the Art Harvest Show, which is one of the major exhibitions in the annual Pine Shores’ calendar. Over 300 area artists are members, and more than 50 are participating in this show, each presenting one of their best original works completed within the last three years that was not done in a class setting.
Cash awards will be made in several categories including “Best in Show”, “Thomas E. Rutledge Realism Award”, “Pat and Richard Morgan Transparent Watercolor Award”, “Alex Stillano Memorial Award”, four “Judges’ Choice Awards”, four “Merit Awards”, and four “Honorable Mentions”. James McFarlane, president emeritus of the American Watercolor Society and an internationally renowned artist, will judge the show.
The Art Harvest Show also presents an “Artist’s Choice” award voted on by all the artists participating in the show.
