Join us for a yummy evening of shellfish tastings and beer/wine pairings to support our arts and science educational programs. The evening is packed with local seafood bounty including heaps of oyster & clams from Little Egg Oysters, 40 North Oysters, Maxwell’s Shellfish and Parson’s Seafood. LIVE AUCTION EXPERIENCES
Item # 1
A unique & rare opportunity for one person to go on-board a commercial scallop boat for a day. The world’s best scallops are landed at Viking Village in Barnegat Light. Venture on the sea on a commercial boat with these courageous men and women to see how they catch, clean and handle this sustainable resource. You will leave on a Larson boat from Barnegat Light on a date agreed on with the Captain.

Item # 2
Tour the oyster beds and clam beds behind Barnegat Light.
Four guests will board the ReClam the Bay research vessel ClamBo. During the three hour tour you will see the 40 North and RCTB beds. Skipper, Jeffery Salidy, Director of Marine Activities for RCTB, will explain how they are spawned, grown and harvested. You will have a great day on the water! Boat leaves from Barnegat Light on a date agreed to with the Captain.

Oyster Farmers for the Day ending with dinner at Parkers Garage
Tour the Oyster and clam beds in the lower bay form Beach Haven to Tuckerton
Four guests will tour the productive oyster and clam beds in the lower Barnegat Bay. Your Captain, Theo Gerike, an oysterman and chef himself will conduct the three hour tour including wine & beer, ending with dinner for 4 at Parker’s Garage, the newest fine seafood eatery in Beach Haven. Date and time to be agreed on with the Captain.

See the bay like an Osprey
You will take off from Eagles Nest airport, just north of Tuckerton, and see the clam and oyster beds of the lower bay. Then your Captain, Walt Naisby, who lives in Harvey Cedars and know the bay well, will fly you up the Bay and “down the shore”. You will see the oyster beds behind Barnegat Light, Island Beach State Park, and up to the Point Pleasant Canal. Then see the beach replenishment from Mantoloking to Holgate. This is for one person. Date and time agreed to with the Captain.
